Viva Las Vegas!

Second Life Las Vegas will be opening to the general public from Monday April 10th 2006. Everyone will be able to experience the excitement of Las Vegas, wherever they are in the world.

An international team of builders, designers, scripters and sculptors, from USA, Canada, Scotland, England, Croatia and Australia has painstakingly constructed Las Vegas in Second Life, paying attention to every detail.

There is something to appeal to every Second Life resident who visits Las Vegas. When you arrive a limo is waiting to chauffeur you to the main attractions in the bright-light city.

Visitors can get lost in Luxor Hotel’s Egyptian-themed maze, and perhaps even find hidden prizes. When they find their way out they can go clubbing under the fantastic glass pyramid roof.

For thrill-seeking avatars who want excitement there is a roller coaster in New York New York. After taking in the incredible view from the top of the Stratosphere you can base-jump back down to the ground, or use the bungee rope for those if you prefer not to get squished at the bottom of the tower.

Romantic residents can take their loved one for a gondola ride around the canals of the Venetian Hotel or get married in the Little White Wedding Chapel. For those avatars who haven’t found true love yet, there is always the Wild Horse Saloon, a recreation of Nevada’s only legalised brothel.

For those with Lady Luck on their side, Caesars Palace casino will soon open its doors. When you strike it rich, you can go shopping in the wide range of stores in the Venetian or New York New York.

Visitors will also be able view the machinima documentary of the building of the Las Vegas sim.
